Economic tradeoffs are inevitable—wishing for lower rates, cheaper housing, or wage equality without accepting their unintended consequences (recession, deflation, financial crisis) is naive. The 2020s demonstrate this: higher growth and wages came with 9% inflation that made consumers miserable.
